How to Install

  1. Pre-fit the shower tray by measuring then cutting the tray to fit the desired placement.
  2. Place and seal the shower tray.
    1. Apply modified thin-set mortar to the substrate using a 1/4" x 3/8" square-notched trowel.
    2. Place the TruSlope shower tray onto the thin-set mortar.
    3. Use TruSeal Sealant Adhesive or thin-set mortar to bond the butt joints of the tray pieces together.
  3. Embed the tray into the mortar by firmly walking on the TruSlope tray.
  4. Install the Trugard Drain by generously applying modified thinset mortar and embedding TruLine linear drain into the thin-set mortar.
  5. Pre-fit the TruCurb by measuring and cutting the curb to length using a standard handsaw.
  6. Pre-cut the floor pieces of the Trugard Vapor-shield allowing for the membrane to go up the wall at least three (3) inches by cutting the membrane six (6) inches longer the floor width. Use a non-sharp pencil to mark the wall to floor intersections and corners. Cut the full corner (3” x 3”) square out of the membrane and discard.
  7. Apply modified thin-set mortar to: 1. The floor wall ends, 2. The edge of the shower tray using a 1/4” x 3/8” square-notched trowel. 3. Back butter the curb bottom and ends and then pressing the curb firmly into place.

How to Install

  1. For a Level-entry/Curbless shower, start by making the subfloor surface even with the top of the floor joists system by adding furring strips to the sides of the floor joists and adding subfloor substrate in between the floor joists.
  2. Prior to gluing and nailing/screwing the subfloor between the floor joists dry-fit the shower tray and mark the drain opening of the tray. Inside of the marked circle, mark and cut a 4” centered hole. Ensure the plumbing is completed/secured in the center of the hole.
  3. 3a. Dry-fit test The Tray and the Shower Drain prior to the permanent installation. Also double check to confirm that the floor substrate is of solid construction.
    3b. Apply modified thin-set mortar to the substrate using a 1/4” square-notched trowel.
  4. 4a. Place thinset between the four (4) TruSlope shower tray sections and onto the thinset mortar.
    4b. Solidly embed the tray into the mortar by walking firmly on the TruSlope tray.
  5. Install the Trugard Drain by generously applying modified thinset mortar in and around shower drain flange recessed area of the tray. Now align and press the drain downward to connect the waste line with PVC or PVC to ABS pipe cement glue already applied, and simultaneously embed the drain body down into the thin-set mortar to a height lower than the plane of the tray slope.
  6. Pre-cut at least the floor piece of the Trugard Vapor-shield/Steam-shield allowing for the membrane to go up the wall at least three (3) inches by cutting the membrane six (6) inches longer the the floor width. Use a non-sharp pencil to mark the wall to floor intersections and corners. Cut the full excess corner (3” x 3”) square out of the membrane.
  7. Apply Trugard Vapor-shield or Steam-shield with quality modified thinset or premium unmodified thinset mortar to the TruSlope tray substrate and up the the wall 4” using a 1/4" x 3/16" V-notched or 1/8” x 1/8” square-notched trowel as described in the Trugard Vapor-shield instruction handbook.

How to Install

  1. Pre-fit the shower tray by measuring then cutting the tray to fit the desired placement.
  2. Cut a rectangular hole into the floor substrate in the desired drain location to allow the linear drain trench to snugly fit down into the floor substrate, with the drain flanges being supported by the floor substrate.
  3. Place and seal the shower tray.
    1. Apply modified thin-set mortar to the substrate using a 1/4" x 3/8" square-notched trowel.
    2. Place the TruSlope shower tray onto the thin-set mortar.
    3. Use TruSeal Sealant Adhesive or thin-set mortar to bond the butt joints of the tray pieces together.
  4. Embed the tray into the mortar by firmly walking on the TruSlope tray.
  5. Install the Trugard Drain by generously applying modified thinset mortar and embedding TruLine linear drain into the thin-set mortar.
  6. Pre-cut the floor pieces of the Trugard Vapor-shield allowing for the membrane to go up the wall at least three (3) inches by cutting the membrane six (6) inches longer the floor width. Use a non-sharp pencil to mark the wall to floor intersections and corners. Cut the full corner (3” x 3”) square out of the membrane and discard.
  7. Apply modified thin-set mortar to: 1. The floor wall ends, 2. The edge of the shower tray using a 1/4” x 3/8” square-notched trowel. 3. Back butter the curb bottom and ends and then pressing the curb firmly into place.
