Linear Drain Installation Guide
In this video, we’re gonna show you how to correctly install the shower valve seal. Right here, is where it’s gonna fit. First, we’re gonna go ahead and put this on then we’re gonna get our 2 screws, our 2 screws are gonna hold this in place, so we come in here and we put this slit on these screw. So grab a pencil, it doesn’t have to be totally accurate. Okay, you can see it’s not real round, so what I like to do is go ahead and cut it somewhat round, doesn’t have to be perfect. I’m gonna go ahead and put some blue tape, leave room for some sealant here. So with your flat trowel, simply squeeze all of the excess thinset mortar out from behind the shower valve seal then clean off your trowel and do it again. Now, you will take an approved adhesive sealant and caulk around all of the seams in the shower valve seal and around the shower valve itself. Be sure to smooth the sealant so that it’s flushed with the vapor shield. Congratulations! Your shower valve mixing seal is waterproof.
